Pros and Cons of Alli - September 21st, 2009

There has been a lot of controversy over the Diet pill Alli. After doing some research into the subject matter I have compiled a list of pros and cons about this over the counter weight loss supplement.

The Pros-

Helps to jump start weight loss

Alli has its own website that provides additional help and information

Alli partnered with another website to make meal planning easy.

Alli is the only FDA Over the counter weight loss supplement on the market.

 

The Cons-

Alli should not be taken for long term weight loss.

There are many uncomfortable side effects.

While taking Alli you cannot exceed the fat grams in a meal.

Weight loss with Alli is modest at best.

Alli can cause a Vitamin deficiency.

You cannot take Alli if you have problems with your gallbladder, or thyroid.

There are many drug interactions with Alli.

 

So as you can see the cons of Alli outweigh the pros by far.  I suggest only using this as a last resort and I would make sure that I was very careful while using this pills.  I would also recommend doing a lot of research on this pill before buying.  I would strongly recommend trying diet and exercise before using Alli.
